Project Overview

The Bukasa Inland Port is located along the northern shores of Lake Victoria, on approximately 500 acres (202 ha) in the neighbourhood of Bukasa, Wakiso District.

The project will connect Uganda to the Tanzanian Port of Dar es Salaam through Mwanza inland Port and work as an alternative to the Kampala-Mombasa route. This will reduce over-dependence on the northern corridor route which leads to the port of Mombasa.
