Project Overview
The Kagitumba – Kayonza – Rusumo road is part of the international road network which links Rwanda to the Kenyan port of Mombasa through Uganda (Mirama Hill/ Kagitumba border point) and to the Tanzanian port of Dar es Salaam through the Rusumo border point. The road starts at the Kagitumba border (Nyagatare District) and ends at the Rusumo border (Kirehe District).
Scope of Work
TECNICA Y PROYECTOS, S.A. (TYPSA) and Proess conducted a technical Audit to ensure quality compliance of the Kagitumba – Kayonza – Rusumo road (208 km) rehabilitation and widening by undertaking a Post Construction Stage audit. The assignment was to give the Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) an independent assessment on the overall performance and compliance status of the entire project with recommendations for improvements.
